Return & Refund Policy

At getbarbar.com, we strive to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase. However, due to the nature of our products (consumable vaping goods and hygiene-sensitive hardware), we have a strict return policy.
Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
1. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude any of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
2. Hygiene & Safety (No Returns on Opened Items)
For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns of opened or used products.
- This applies to all e-liquids, disposable vapes (IGET, Alibarbar), and open pods/cartridges.
- Once the seal is broken or the packaging is opened, the item is considered “used” and cannot be resold or returned for a refund, unless it is verified as defective (Dead on Arrival).
3. Dead on Arrival (DOA) / Defective Products
We understand that occasionally a manufacturing defect may occur (e.g., a disposable vape that does not fire straight out of the box).
If you believe you have received a defective item, you must comply with the following:
- Timeframe: You must contact us within 48 hours of the delivery timestamp.
- Proof: Email support@getbarbar.com with:
- Your Order Number.
- A clear photo/video demonstrating the defect.
- A description of the issue.
- Resolution: If deemed defective, we will offer a replacement or a store credit for the value of the item. We generally do not offer cash refunds for minor defects where a replacement is available.
Note: “Flavor preference” (e.g., you don’t like the taste) is NOT considered a defect.
4. Change of Mind Returns
We do not generally offer refunds for “Change of Mind” on vaping products. However, at our sole discretion, we may accept a return if:
- The item is 100% unopened, sealed, and in original condition.
- You contact us within 7 days of delivery.
- Cost: You are responsible for the return shipping cost.
- Restocking Fee: A restocking fee of 10% may be deducted from the refund amount to cover merchant fees and handling.
- Initial shipping costs are non-refundable.
5. Wrong Item Received
If we have made an error and sent you the wrong product (e.g., wrong flavor or model):
- Do NOT open the product. We cannot accept it back if you open it, even if it was our mistake.
- Contact support@getbarbar.com immediately.
- We will arrange for the correct item to be sent to you and provide instructions for the return of the incorrect item (at our expense).
6. Customs Seizures (International & Local)
As stated in our Shipping Policy:
- We do not offer refunds if your package is seized by customs (Australian Border Force or international agencies).
- It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure they comply with local regulations (including having a valid prescription for nicotine in Australia).
- If a package is returned to us by customs (sender return), we may refund the product cost only, minus shipping fees and a 15% restocking fee, provided the items are in sellable condition.
7. How to Initiate a Return
- Contact Us: Do not send any items back without prior approval. Email support@getbarbar.com.
- RMA: If approved, we will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and the return address.
- Packaging: Pack the item securely. We are not responsible for items damaged during return transit.
- Processing: Once received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 5–10 business days.
8. Warranty on Hardware (IQOS / Reloadable Devices)
- Disposables (IGET, Alibarbar): No warranty beyond the 48-hour DOA window.
- Hardware Kits (IQOS): These devices may come with a manufacturer’s warranty. Please refer to the manual inside the box. As a retailer, we facilitate the DOA period (7 days for hardware), but long-term warranty claims may need to be directed to the manufacturer.
